I was going to go see The Nutcracker with a friend this morning but the opportunity un-manifested itself so I decided to come online and wish everyone an early Merry Christmas instead.
I just saw a Nutcracker performance this weekend actually. It had a modern twist to it. I've been trying to get into holiday mode and I think that helped. A little.
@Mystafied: Comme ci comme ca. My grandmother's recent passing made me wanna skip yet another Christmas but then... Christmas cards started pouring in, presents were waiting for me at my doorstep, went Christmas shopping with friends, watched Love Actually... the Christmas spirit infected me.
I love my friends so incredibly much and feel so blessed.
I hope you find a way to tune into the magic... merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas lovely lady! Don't worry Nutcracker will be there next year, I wanted to go this year too but alas it didn't happen either. (again). Hope you are well xox
A Merry Christmas to you, Agnes, from Down Under. There is a spirit of goodwill in the air at this time of the year throughout much of the world, with some sad exceptions. Just received greetings from a KL (Malay) friend who, together with his partner, had a nice tradition of inviting me and other away-from-home friends to a Christmas Day dinner.
Merry Christmas dear Agnes!! I was a bit stubborn about the whole christmas bit since I don't have my friends or other family here...but after tours of village christmas markets who wouldn't get into the christmas spirit...and I ended up inviting random people I just met for Christmas dinner! ;) We should have a house full and I intend to show them a good ole' fashioned American christmas! xo
I thought of you as I was writing my last blogpost...I know this must have been a particularly hard year for you Agnes...actually thats probably an understatement... I wish you a new year full of hope, joy and peace....new adventures...and happiness beyond your wildest dreams! Thinking of you and wishing all the best!
Merry Christmas to you!

"I was going to go see The Nutcracker with a friend this morning but the opportunity un-manifested itself so I decided to come..."
Can I incorporate this line into a story?
