Bewildered here by a few female readers asking where I buy my shoes. Given my utterly unglamorous taste in footware I never in my wildest dreams would expect anyone to like what I like. You know like those now fashionable huge thick rimmed nerd glasses girls everywhere seem to love? The ones my husband calls "birth control glasses"?
Well I always suspect people think my shoes are as ugly as many men seem to think those glasses are but as every girl knows, it's real hard to care.

That being said, the reason I hardly ever shop for shoes is that the ones I already have I love so much I don't want to split their air-time with others. I only ever buy what I am incurably in love with and they need to be worthy of my love and closet space.

Since I prefer to have only as many pairs as I can humanly wear, I'm never consciously on the lookout for new additions.
They seem to know how find me though.

Distressed leather, wooden heels, etc. are definitely my thing, and they only get better with age. [And how I wish that was true of me too!]
I guess this post is my long way of answering the shoe-shopping questions and saying that I really don't have one particular place where I buy shoes. But I do love Frye's.
Also, I love both flat and high heels. Heels make me feel empowered and on days when I would otherwise be running around like a chicken without a head, being busy accomplishing nothing, heels are the secret ingredient in transforming my impotent steps into the much preferred 'I am in control' power walk. It's fun you should try it.
In case you wondered, I love flip flops too. Especially leather ones. Also clogs.
How about you, what do you like?
Until next time.
